If there is one thing the UK doesn’t lack in May, it’s got to be bank holidays. With the first bank holiday Monday rolling around, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to spend your long weekend. The weather is meant to bless us with sunshine and warmth, so we’re getting ready to whip out our shorts and sandals!

One beautiful thing about living in London (or visiting) is that you can never run out of new things to see and places to visit. The average Londoner’s daily routine is often a hectic one, which leaves little time for enjoying the more “touristy” activities and landmarks. You haven’t experienced true London joy until you’ve sat for drinks at a beer garden. For those unfamiliar with the term, a “beer garden” is essentially the love child of a typical English pub and your grandparents’ backyard.
Fair warning, you will likely have trouble finding one that isn’t jammed full of people trying to enjoy a pint in the sun if the weather is just that good.
Whether you want to enjoy an alcoholic beverage or would rather stick to fruit juice, beer gardens are great for their large menu. You don’t even have to limit yourself to drinks either, since most of them serve food too!
