Dining in London

THE RIVER CAFE - It is the ultimate classic dish in the culinary delights of London’s restaurant scene and it has every reason to be — the River Cafe is a vital ingredient to summer evenings spent in the capital. From the light Italian dishes on its menu, the riverside setting and a kitchen where the likes of Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall earned their stripes — it is sure not to disappoint. Perfect for a special occasion.

THE OXO TOWER RESTAURANT - If you are lucky enough to enjoy a window seat here, you can look out to the most iconic view of the city, with an aspect to St Paul’s Cathedral and the River Thames.

CASITA ANDINA - The wonderful privilege of eateries in London is the true diversity of excellent cuisines, and Casita Andina just goes to prove this. Its Peruvian menu will transport your taste buds to South America even when in the heart of Piccadilly. The ceviche and exceptional cocktails act as the backbone behind beautifully colourful dishes, all served as small plates.

THE SUMMERHOUSE - What is summer without seafood? The aptly named Summerhouse restaurant in Maida Vale offers great views of the canals of Little Venice to accompany its delicate menu. Enjoy a post-dinner stroll along the waterways lined with pretty barge boats to complete the experience.

The bar inside the exhibition space adds to the magic.

VAN GOGH @ TATE BRITAIN - The most major exhibition of Van Gogh in Britain for decades, Tate Britain is exhibiting the artist’s work, his relationship with the UK itself, and the British artists he was inspired by. This show is not to be missed.
