Being home to such a diverse and unique cultural demographic, Kensington truly is the place to go when you’re in search of some fine dining. With so many options to choose from, we’ve compiled just a few to get your appetite going during your stay.
YASHIN SUSHI
The impeccably trained chefs here are true sushi artists. With creative, exciting dishes that look like tiny, perfectly formed pieces of art (and of course, taste incredible), dining here is worth the price tag. They operate a strict ‘no soy sauce’ policy — but you’ll want to savour the delicate, complex flavours brought out by their premium ingredients (although of course, if you really can’t do without, it is available).

MARGAUX
In an area of London so loved by French expats, it’s no wonder the French cuisine in Kensington is so délicieux. Margaux’s menu brings the best of french flavours across the channel: think lavender-infused duck breast, mouth-watering beef rossini and of course — obviously — an exceptional list of marvellous French wines.

PAPPA ROMA
An award-winning pizza restaurant, Pappa Roma is nestled on a quiet Kensington Street, around the corner from South Kensington tube station. Cosy and authentic, it is frequented by Italian Londoners and other in-the-know locals — which in our humble opinion, is always an excellent sign. Order their award-winning Pizza Di Bosco, which finely balances flavours of wild mushrooms, truffle, stracciatella and 24-month aged parma ham.
With these restaurants, you’ll certainly have a great selection of food to choose from!
So if you’re in the mood for Japanese, French or Italian cuisine, Kensington is the neighbourhood to visit to indulge yourself in, be it with traditional foods or those with a modern take.
